What a preview can help you compare
A preview can make the relationship between the design silhouette and a broad body area easier to discuss. Compare the focal point, vertical or horizontal flow, approximate coverage and the amount of open space around the subject.
Use the close-up to inspect how the same placed result reads at a larger viewing size. It is not a second placement calculation.
What the preview cannot establish
It cannot establish centimeters or inches, stencil distortion, wraparound continuity, how your own anatomy changes the composition, or how the tattoo will age and heal. A single rendered pose also cannot show every viewing angle.
Questions to take to your artist
Ask where the focal point should sit when your body is relaxed, which details need more space, whether the design needs to wrap, and how the stencil reads from nearby and at a distance.
How this guide was prepared
The TattooPilot product team compared the visible placement controls with the production preview pipeline and its automated tests. The limitations reflect the product’s actual digital-model workflow; no claim of artist or medical review is made.
